The railway from Hanoi Station to Hai Phong Station is about 102 kilometers long. There are four trains on this route: HP1, LP3, LP5, and LP7, which are part of the Reunification Express. These trains run daily and take about 3 hours to travel from Hanoi to Hai Phong. The only available seat type is the soft seat, and each carriage is equipped with air-conditioning and comfortable seating.
- LP trains depart from and arrive at Long Bien Station in the Old Quarter.
- HP1 and HP2 trains depart from and arrive at Hanoi Station, 120 Le Duan Street.
- Hanoi Station: There are two stops. The main station (Hanoi Station) is located at 120 Le Duan Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, while Station B is located at Tran Quy Cap Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi. Trains heading south typically depart from the main station, while trains going north (Sapa – Lao Cai) depart from Station B. Additionally, Long Bien Station, located in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, serves trains from Sapa and those traveling to and from Hai Phong City.
- Hai Phong Station: Located at 75 Luong Khanh Thien Street, Ngo Quyen District, Hai Phong City.

- Carry-on Bags: The train cabins are allowed to carry baggages which do not exceed the weight limitation of 20 kgs of adults and 10 kgs of children. The baggages must be wrapped neatly and reliably.
