Cancellation and Refund Policies
Cancellation policies vary based on the type of ticket booked, the time of year, and the reason for cancellation. Below are the rules for cancellation and refunds after tickets have been issued:
- A 35% fee of the ticket price will be charged for cancellations or amendments made more than 15 days before departure.
- A 50% fee of the ticket price will be charged for cancellations or amendments made 2 to 14 days before departure.
- A 100% fee of the ticket price will be charged for cancellations or amendments made within 24 hours of departure.
- For the tourist trains between Hanoi and Sapa (The Orient Express Train, Laman Express Train, Lotus Express Train, Sapaly Express Train, King Sapa Express Train, Chapa Express Train, Violette Express Train, and Damitrans Express Train), tickets are non-refundable under any circumstances.
We reserve the right to cancel your booking with prior notice. In such cases, a full refund (100%) will be credited to your account.
In the event of weather-related disruptions (e.g., storms, typhoons) where you are unable to board the train at your scheduled departure time but cancel 1–2 days before your departure:
- If the train still operates, no refund will be issued.
- If the train is canceled, we will confirm by email. A 100% refund will be issued to your credit card within 15 days.
