Please ensure that you have read the Terms and Conditions below before using our website, vnrailway.com, an online portal for train ticket booking in Vietnam. By using or making a booking with vnrailway.com, you acknowledge that you understand and accept all the Terms and Conditions stated here.
Your use of this website, including bookings and site information, constitutes your agreement to the following terms, conditions, and notices. If you do not agree with these terms, you are not authorized to use this website and should leave immediately.
You agree not to use our website for illegal purposes and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. You also agree not to use the website in any way that might impair its performance, corrupt its content, or reduce its functionality.
Additionally, you agree not to compromise the security of our website or attempt to access secured areas or sensitive information.
You are responsible for any claims, expenses, liabilities, losses, or costs (including legal fees) incurred by us as a result of your infringement of these terms and conditions.
vnrailway.com reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the website will be governed by the terms in effect at the time of use. We advise users to regularly check the Terms and Conditions of this agreement.
Train Booking
To make an online train reservation, select your desired itinerary from the homepage, or choose a train and book your ticket. You may also send the following details to [email protected]:
- Passenger names (as listed on passports)
- Passport numbers
- Address
- Nationality
- Exact travel dates
- Preferred train(s)
- Ticket type (soft berth, hard berth, or soft seat)
- Number of adults and children (with ages)
Your booking is confirmed only after payment is made.
Ticket Types
- Soft Seat: Soft, non-armchair seat with air-conditioning.
- Hard Berth: Hard bed in a cabin shared with 3-5 other people.
- 6-Berth Cabin: Cabin shared by 6 people with soft or hard berths.
- 4-Berth Cabin: Cabin shared by 4 people with soft berths.
- 2-Berth Private Cabin: Either a cabin with only 2 berths or a 4-berth cabin with 2 upper berths removed, shared by 2 people.
Ticket Delivery
- After successful payment, we typically send e-tickets 10-15 days before departure. In some cases, tickets may be sent 1-2 days before departure without prior notice.
- E-tickets are the original tickets and can be printed or shown on a smartphone at the train station 30 minutes before departure for check-in.
- For bookings made 3-9 days before departure, we will send the e-ticket as soon as possible.
- If you do not receive your e-tickets, please call +84.936.631.501 or email [email protected] immediately to request them again.
- Ensure you provide the correct email address and phone number during booking, as incorrect details may result in failure to deliver tickets. Our responsibility ends when e-tickets are sent to the email provided. If you do not receive your tickets 10–15 days before departure, contact us promptly. Failure to do so will imply that you approve the delivery, and we accept no liability if you do not agree with this notice.
- We are not responsible for late arrivals at the train station if you did not contact us beforehand.
- As a travel agency, we are not responsible for any issues after sending the e-tickets.
Rates
Unless otherwise specified, rates are quoted in US dollars. Prices are for one-way trips and include all fees, service charges, delivery fees, and bank charges.
Prices
- Prices listed are per person and per trip.
- Prices include the ticket price, taxes, and service fees.
- Prices displayed on the website are final, and we are not responsible for complaints about pricing after services have been used.
Children’s Prices
- Children under 2 years old: Free travel.
- Children from 2 to under 6 years old (and shorter than 1.3m): 75% of the adult price for North-South trains. For Hanoi-Sapa trains, children must pay the full adult fare.
- Children over 6 years old: 100% of the adult price.
- Note: Each adult may only travel with one child under these conditions.
Baggage
- Carry-on Bags: Passengers are allowed to carry baggage not exceeding 20 kg for adults and 10 kg for children. Baggage must be neatly and securely packed.
Payment
- Credit Card: We accept all major credit cards. A secure payment link will be provided after booking confirmation.
- Bank Transfer: Bank transfer payments are accepted, and we will provide our banking details at the time of booking confirmation.
- Western Union: Payments can be made via Western Union, and we will provide the receipt details and require the control number to finalize payment.
Your bank account will be debited under the company name “VNTRAVEL, CO.,LTD”
Cancellation, Changes, and Refunds
Cancellation policies vary depending on the type of ticket, the time of year, and the reason for cancellation. The following rules apply after tickets have been issued:
- 10% of the ticket cost will be charged for cancellations or amendments before the ticket is issued.
- 35% of the ticket cost will be charged for cancellations or amendments made more than 15 days before departure.
- 50% of the ticket cost will be charged for cancellations or amendments made 3-14 days before departure.
- 100% of the ticket cost will be charged for cancellations or amendments made 1-2 days before departure.
- For group tickets (15+ tickets), 50% of the ticket cost will be charged for cancellations or amendments made 2 days or more before departure, and 100% will be charged for changes made within 1 day of departure.
- For tourist trains (e.g., Orient Express, King Express, Lotus Express, Sapaly Express, etc.), tickets are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- We reserve the right to cancel your booking with prior notice. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.
During high seasons (summer, Tet holidays, and other major holidays), a 50% charge applies for cancellations made more than 7 days before departure, and 100% for cancellations within 6 days.
Train tickets are not valid after the departure date. Late passengers may not be accepted, and we will not be responsible.
Special Note
vnrailway.com is a third-party booking agent that allows customers to reserve train tickets online. We are not responsible for the services provided by Vietnam Railways or private train companies (e.g., King Express, Livitrans, Sapaly). Any concerns or complaints about the train service should be directed to the train company.
During peak travel times (Christmas, New Year, Lunar New Year), ticket confirmation may be difficult, and prices may rise by 20%. We recommend booking well in advance during these periods.
All changes must be discussed via email at [email protected]. After processing your final request, any further changes will be subject to the regulations on our website. If the price of the new booking is lower, a refund will be issued for the difference. If the new price is higher, you will be required to pay the additional fee.
